HPCF Board of Directors Biography
Alyssa Knobel is a two term Highland Park City Councilwoman. Prior to her election to the City Council, she served as Chair of the City of Highland Park Business & Economic Development Commission from 2011-2012. Alyssa works in support of the community as City Council liaison to various business groups in addition to the Human Relations Commission and School District 112.
She serves as City Council liaison to the Highland Park Community Foundation Board, is a member of the Northwestern University Women’s Board, and volunteers for numerous civic and charitable organizations including the Highland Park – Highwood Legal Aid Clinic. Jewish Council Youth Services (JCYS) named Alyssa as a Director for Life in May 2014. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Highland Park Alliance, and IL Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan (ICHIP) Board.
Alyssa is a marketing and communication consultant to business, government, political campaigns and not-for-profit agencies. She began her career in advertising at McCann-Erickson and worked for Former State Representative Karen May (D-58). Alyssa holds a BS in Communication from Boston University. She and her husband Jeremy and two children reside in Highland Park.
