HPCF Board of Directors Biography
Having lived most of her life in Highland Park, Nancy joined the HPCF in 2009 out of an interest in causes that support families and promote education. Her commitment to inclusivity and her desire to make a difference locally led her to the Foundation, whose mission addresses the issues that matter most to her. As Chairman of the Foundation, Nancy hopes to increase the Foundation’s visibility and impact in the community by giving out more grants, larger grants and addressing more of the community’s needs.
A graduate of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Nancy has applied her knowledge and skills to both business and civic causes. A long-time Marketing team member of the medical supplies company Medline, she led the 2016 redesign, renovation and environmental branding of the former Kraft Foods space for Medline, providing a more open, collaborative and enjoyable workplace for approximately 2,000 headquarters employees. An advocate for youth and the arts, Mills was a head coordinator for Focus on the Arts at Highland Park High School and a founder of Baker College Prep, a Noble Network high school in Chicago. At Baker, she created and funds an annual awards program to recognize the outstanding achievements of teachers and students.
Nancy and her husband Andy have raised three wonderful sons here in Highland Park.
